GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WOOD) - We now know when a Cabela's store will open in Kent County.
The hunting, fishing and outdoor gear outfitter will open its doors at 11 a.m. March 21, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m.
The grand opening will be part of a weekend-long celebration featuring special guests, outdoor celebrities, family activities, giveaways and more, according to a news release.
The 88,000-square-foot store is on the southeast corner of 44th Street and Ivanrest Avenue SW, and will employ about 200 workers.
This is the third Cabela's store in Michigan-- one opened in Dundee in 2000, and another one is slated to open in Saginaw on Feb. 14.
"Cabela's has tremendous support from Michigan's outdoorsmen and women, and we are excited to open another retail location in the state," said Cabela's Chief Executive Officer Tommy Millner. "This is an exciting time for Cabela's in Michigan and we expect our new Grandville location to be a great success."
