GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - The body of a Navy SEAL, who was killed in Afghanistan earlier this month, will return home on Monday.

David Warsen, 27, of Kentwood was among seven Americans and four Afghans who died when their Black Hawk helicopter crashed after being shot down by insurgents on Aug. 16.

Warsen's family is hoping community members will line the streets when his body returns to West Michigan at noon.

A procession will begin at Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Cascade Township, then travel west on 44th Street, left onto Patterson Avenue, right onto 68th Street and finish at Stroo Funeral Home, 1095 68th St. SE in Cutlerville.

Visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Aug. 29 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Mars Hill Bible Church, 3501 Fairlanes Ave. SW in Grandville. Funeral services will follow on Aug. 30 at 11 a.m. at the church.
