WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - An Amber Alert for a 15-year-old Wyoming boy with autism has been cancelled after the teen was found.
Jospeh Allen Lasher walked away from his home in the 5700 block of Haughey Avenue near 54th Street on Friday afternoon.
Lasher was found walking just west of his house on Fisher Avenue, according to Wyoming PD Capt. Kim Koster.
He was safe in and in good health.
Lasher was believed to be in extreme danger because has autism. He is high-functioning, but authorities said he may have gotten confused by directions and not answered to his name.
Lasher likes cars, his mother told Wyoming Police, and she thought may have wandered toward the 28th Street area where the Wyoming Metro Cruise is being held.
Koster said police received a tip that he was at the 54th Street and Clyde Park Avenue Meijer, but when police arrived there, he was already gone.
Koster said authorities got a lot of help from the public.
