GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Many West Michigan Catholic churches have twins in Haiti through a Tennessee-based agency that pairs Catholic parishes in the US and Canada with parishes there.
The Parish Twinnings Program of America boasts 14 West Michigan churches from nine towns with sister churches, hospitals or schools in Haiti.
Those churches with their Haitian twin are:
Haiti is an overwhelmingly Catholic country, with estimates between 65% - 85% of all Haitians being Catholic.
