SPARTA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Seven puppies were reunited with their mother after they were stolen from the chain-link kennel in the owner's backyard.
The owner, Shane Griffin, put an ad on craigslist offering the pit bull puppies for sale. While he was out of town, his parents, Linda and Timothy Driscoll, offered to watch the puppies for him.
On Labor Day weekend, two people from Grand Rapids came to look at the puppies, but left without a decision.
At 2 a.m. the next morning, those two people and others drove to the Driscoll's home and stole the puppies.
Police were called, and the Kent County Sheriff's Department tracked down the puppies at the suspects home on the city's northwest side.
The as-yet-unnamed suspects have not yet been arrested but will be charged with a felonious larceny charge.
The puppies are fine and are back with their mother, Reba.
