KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) -- Investigators still are trying to find the two people who fired shots into the air after a basketball game at East Kentwood High School on Friday night.
Additional security was in place at the school Monday, including staffers posted at both entrances to the campus.
Students were told about the incident Monday morning, and school officials also informed parents.
"In our letter home to parents today, one of the things we highlighter is that this appears to be an isolated incident that did not involve the school body at Kentwood," said Scott Palczewski, the Kentwood Public Schools superintendent.
The incident followed an argument between an East Kentwood and a Muskegon fan in the stands during the game. Palczewski said he's not sure if the incidents were connected.
