GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - When President Obama makes his commencement address to the 2010 graduates of Kalamazoo Central High School, Air Force One will land at Gerald R. Ford International Airport.
Airport officials told 24 Hour News 8 they've received "initial notification" from the White House that the president will use the larger airport in Grand Rapids for his flight into and out of the area next Monday.
Officials from the airport are meeting with the president's advance team to work out the details. No further information on how the president will get from Grand Rapids to Kalamazoo are available at this time.
24 Hour News 8 will have complete coverage of President Obama's speech to the graduates both on-air and online.
