WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people robbed a man at around 9 a.m. Saturday as he was leaving L.E. Kaufman Golf Course.
The 28-year-old man, who did not want to be identified, had just finished hitting golf balls at the driving range. He was putting his clubs in his trunk when a woman approached him, asking for directions to 84th Street and Clyde Park. He gave her directions and continued to his drivers-side door.
When the golfer went to get into his vehicle, a man was waiting for him, holding a gun, demanding his wallet.
"(I was) scared, startled - I was definitely startled - I was just taken by surprise, you know, you don't expect that," he said. "He said, 'I got a gun, give me your wallet, and he definitely had a gun ... he didn't point it at me, but he had it at his waist."
Wyoming police arrived to the scene, 4807 Clyde Park SW, but could not find the suspects.
"(The man) seemed like he was scared, just in a quick hurry to get a quck buck out of somebody, you know, and get out of there," the victim said.
The armed robbers got about $25 from the golfer.
The suspects are in a black 2000-2005 Chevy Impala with dark-tinted windows. If they are caught, they could face prison time. Anyone with information is asked to call police.
