Man stabbed at York Creek Apartments
Victim is reported to be in good condition

ALPINE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Kent County sheriff's deputies responded to a stabbing at York Creek Apartments on Sunday morning.
Deputies said a 22-year-old Alpine Township resident was approached by a man in his 40s who asked for a cigarette. Once the man got close to the alleged victim, he stabbed the person in the thigh then fled the scene.
Alpine Fire/Rescue and Life ambulances treated the victim before taking the person to the hospital. The victim is reported to be in good condition.
Sheriff's deputies do not have the suspect in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call the Kent County Sheriff's Department or Silent Observer.
