2 injured after minivan hits motorcycle

Happened near 17 Mile Road, west of US 131

CEDAR SPRINGS, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people on a motorcycle suffered minor injuries Sunday after being hit by a woman who was exiting the freeway in her minivan.

A 40-year-old man and his 45-year-old wife were riding eastbound on 17 Mile Road when their bike was struck by an 85-year-old woman's vehicle. She was exiting southbound U.S. 131 and didn't sustain any injuries.

The couple is expected to survive as their injuries are nonlife-threatening.

The Michigan State Police Department is investigating the crash, west of U.S. 131. Calls reporting the accident came in around 5:15 p.m.

Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
