KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman escaped a fire in her home early Friday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched around 1:30 a.m. to Northbury Court SE near 44th Street and noticed the residence was engulfed in flames when they arrived.

It is unknown how the fire started but investigators told 24 Hour News 8 they are focusing on the second floor and attic area.
