GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Jack Jacqmain, accused of stabbing an Indiana man to death at a Walker motel last August and then fleeing the state, is still not competent to stand trial, Kent County prosecutor Bill Forsyth said Tuesday.
In late December 2010, Jacqmain was ordered to undergo psychiatric tests to determine if he was mentally competent to face the charges. At the time, the judge said the competency decision would be reviewed in 90 days.
Recently it was determined he's still not fit for trial.
Forsyth and Jacqmain's attorney agreed he's not ready, and the judge entered that into the court record, but again stipulated a review in another 90 days.
He faces a charge of felony murder in the Aug. 18 stabbing death of Mark Moore, 31, of Indianapolis.
Jacqmain, 52 at the time of his arrest, remains in a mental health facility.
