GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - Toni Hall was driving her SUV on 10 Mile Road Wednesday morning when a passing, home-made trailer came unhooked and flew through her windshield, killing her. She was 46.

Now, her life partner, Wendy Brower, the two children whose care they shared and Hall's two adult daughters are trying to come to terms with the loss.

"She was just a wonderful woman," Brower told 24 Hour News 8. "She really enjoyed having fun, always a practical joker, loved to make people laugh."

Brower said Hall was a hard worker, managing several rental properties. She loved to fish on Cowan Lake, where they lived. And, said Brower, Hall was a life coach who helped people through personal crises.

"She made it clear to everybody that she loved them and she's there for them."

They met seven years ago.

"She would want everybody to make sure you tell your loved ones every day that you do love them and to enjoy life. I think that's what she did."

The Kent County Sheriff's Department continues to investigate the accident. Her passenger, Debra Clark, 39, suffered relatively minor injuries.

Visitation for Toni Hall is Sunday at the Hurst Funeral Home in Greenville. The funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday.
