GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WOOD) - After six days of testimony, Bobby Fisk is headed to prison for the murders of Robert and Norma Bean.
A Kent County jury reached the decision on Friday after over eight hours of deliberations.
Fisk was found guilty in all nine counts, including murder, kidnapping and home invasion. He faces a sentence of life in prison.
Prosecutors say robbery was the motive behind the brutal killings.
Fisk and another man, Tim Stephan, invaded the home of Stephan's neighbors, Robert and Norma Bean on the night of October 5, 2008 and kidnapped the Howard City couple.
Attempts to use the Bean's A-T-M card failed.
Eventually the couple were driven to a northern Kent County gravel pit where they were shot.
Fisk admitted to investigators he killed Norma Bean the day of the killings, but in a surprise move during his trial, Fisk took the stand in his own defense.
Fisk testified it was Stephan, now serving a life sentence after pleading guilty to his part on the case, who killed both of the Beans.
Why the change in story?
Fisk's attorney says his client was intimidated by Stephan into going along with the robberies, and by Kent County Sheriff's detectives into admitting he killed Norma Bean.
For the Bean's children Friday's decision brought closure.
Fisk's attorney says he will appeal the verdict.
Fisk will be sentenced Feb. 25.
