At least 1 shot; suspects on loose

KENTWOOD, Mich. (WOOD) - Police are searching for as many as three suspects involved in a Kentwood shooting.

The shooting happened Friday afternoon in the 1000 block of Woodfield S.E. in Gaines Township behind the Kentwood Community Church.

Five people were involved in the shooting that injured three people.

Two victims were grazed by a bullet, one in the neck and one in the head. A third person was shot in the shoulder, according to Kent County Undersheriff Jon Hess.

All the injuries are non-life-threatening.

No suspects are in custody at this time; however, a tracking dog has been called in to assist with the search along with Kentwood and Kent County police.
