CANNON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A Cannon Township man who walked away from his home Monday afternoon and considered missing was found safe Wednesday morning in Grand Rapids.
The Kent County Sheriff's Department did not release specific details about where or how James Mollema was found.
The 67-year-old had been last seen around 12:30 p.m. Monday walking west on Belding Road NE near Sunfish Lake Avenue NE in the Bostwick Lake area, southeast of Rockford.
Police said there are no medical or other reasons at this time as to why the retired band director from Rockford Public Schools walked away. Police said it is not like Mollema to do something like this.
