3 escape Sparta house fire

SPARTA, Mich. (WOOD) - Three people were able to escape their burning home in Sparta early Thursday morning.

Three fire departments were called to help fight the fire on Fruitridge Avenue just south of 10 Mile Road.

The fire started around 1:30 Thursday morning, it took crews about two hours to get the fire out.

There is no word yet on what caused the blaze to start.
