WYOMING, Mich. (WOOD) - The Foremost sixth annual 28th Street Metro Cruise kicks off Friday afternoon and continues through Saturday night.
There will be car shows, displays, a NASCAR simulator and the big highlights -- a car cruise along 28th Street and 5K/10K runs, featuring eightWest's Terri DeBoer and Rachael Ruiz.
The events will be scattered around the area, including Rogers Plaza on 28th Street, C-Tech Performance on Chicao Drive and Woodland Mall.
The Metro Cruise has been held every August since 2005. It was started by the Wyoming-Kentwood Area Chamber of Commerce to help drive business to the 28th Street corridor when M-6 opened on the south end of Grand Rapids.
More than 300,000 people showed up to take part in the festivities in 2008.
