CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Tuesday's mild and sunny weather made it a great day to check out some jets in the area.

Two F-18s landed at Gerald R. Ford International Airport to refuel. They were heading from Canada to Kansas and Oklahoma. Due to the weather in Ohio, one of the pilots chose to land here, which gave him the chance to spend time with his parents.

That pilot is Air Force Major Eric Haas, whose parents are Grand Valley State University President Thomas Haas and his wife, Marcia. The jets were in Cascade Township for about an hour before taking off again.

For an extended look at the jets, watch the video, above.
