WALKER, Mich. (WOOD) - Police are looking for a man, considered armed and dangerous, who they say fatally stabbed another man at a Kent County motel.
Mark Moore was stabbed between 7 and 7:30 p.m. Wednesday outside a room at the Motel 6 at 777 Three Mile Road in Walker, according to police. Moore, 31, from Indianapolis, died at the scene.
The suspect, police say, is 52-year-old Jack Howard Jacqmain. He is described as a white man with balding, grey hair, 5-foot-8 tall and weighing about 230 pounds. He reportedly was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans and carrying a black backpack at the time.
A photo from July 2010 provided by the Walker police shows Jacqmain with a bushy beard, but investigators said his beard is now more of a brush cut.
Police told 24 Hour News 8 the stabbing was random as the two men didn't know each other.
Jacqmain's sister-in-law told 24 Hour News 8 he is bipolar and schizophrenic. She said Jacqmain has been living in Missouri with his family, and she didn't know he was back in Michigan.
Jacqmain was sentenced to four to 20 years behind bars for robbing a bank in the early 1990s. He is an absconder from parole since Aug. 12.
The Department of Corrections website says Jacqmain has such aliases as Bernardino Casosan, Jack Jacqumain, Paul Thor Thorson and Steve L. Smith.
