PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two men are accused of burglarizing a Calhoun County business, and one of the suspects was an employee, police said.

Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched at 9:52 a.m. Saturday to the Pennfield Party Store, 1541 Capital Ave. NE, in Pennfield Township for a report of a burglary.

The suspects had already fled with some cash and merchandise before police arrived, according to a news release. But deputies obtained surveillance video footage and positive identification of the suspects, with help from the store owner who identified one of the suspects as being an employee.

The suspects were later located and arrested in the 600 block of E. Michigan Avenue in Battle Creek.

The 25-year-old men from Battle Creek are facing charges of entering without breaking and larceny.
