BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - A woman was arrested for allegedly stabbing a man during an argument about another woman.

Battle Creek police responded at 1:19 a.m. Tuesday to the incident at a residence in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

That is where police say the 52-year-old suspect stabbed the 57-year-old victim.

The victim was transported to Battle Creek Bronson and then to a Kalamazoo hospital. He is currently in stable condition.

The suspect was treated and released at Battle Creek Bronson and later arrested for the assault, according to a news release.

The incident is still being investigated.
