KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Western Michigan University is urging students to use "extreme caution" on campus after two armed robberies occurred Thursday night.
The university issued this statement on its website late Thursday night:
"Extreme caution urged. Two armed robberies were reported late in the evening Thursday, Dec. 6, on campus. One incident was near Bigelow Hall and the other on the west end of campus near Parking Services. Two suspects are still at large. Both are described a young black males - one in a plaid shirt and jeans, the other wearing a dark hoodie and sweats."
MLive.com reports a woman was the victim in the Bigelow Hall incident, and a man was the victim in the other incident.
