BATTLE CREEK, Mich. (WOOD) - A Western Michigan University graduate student is under investigation for alleged criminal sexual conduct that occurred while he was working at Battle Creek Central High School.
The student has been removed from his assignment at the school after Michigan State Police contacted school officials and let them know about the investigation, according to Western Michigan University's Public Relations Department.
The student was working as an athletic trainer at the high school when allegations he had inappropriate contact with a student surfaced.
The University was contacted about the case late last week and awaits the outcome of the criminal investigation. The suspect will not be assigned to work in schools as the investigation continues.
