COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 15-year-old boy trying to cross a Kalamazoo street was hit by a vehicle whose driver had the right of way, police said.

It happened at 9:43 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Sprinkle Road and E. Michigan Avenue in Comstock Township.

Deputies say the 36-year-old driver was traveling north and proceeded through the intersection with a green traffic light.

The driver was unable to stop and crashed into the bicyclist, police said.

The bicyclist -- Kyle Soule from Kalamazoo -- was taken to a hospital where he was treated and released.
