ALBION, Mich. (WOOD) - An Albion High School music teacher is being charged with having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old student.
Albion Department of Public Safety tells 24 Hour News 8 the 15-year-old student and her mother came to the police Tuesday. The student told police about the relationship with the teacher.
On Friday, a warrant was issued for 31-year-old Bowen Wall, a music teacher at Albion High School.
Albion DPS chief Scott Kipp tells 24 Hour News 8 the sexual activity occurred more than once and the relationship took place over the past couple of weeks.
The sexual acts took place off school grounds, though the chief says the investigation into the relationship continues.
It is unclear whether Wall taught the 15-year-old female student in his class.
According to Kipp, Wall was suspended from the school on Tuesday. Wall turned himself in to officers and was arraigned Saturday on two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the 1st degree.
