ALBION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two arrest warrants have been issued after police said some stolen household items were traded for crack cocaine.

Calhoun County sheriff's deputies responded around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday to a stolen property complaint in the 29000 block of Albion Road in Albion Township.

Deputies were told a victim's relative stole a vehicle and several household items, according to a news release.

Then around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, the Albion Department of Public Safety located and stopped the stolen vehicle as it was traveling in Albion.

Deputies learned the driver of the stolen vehicle, identified as a 38-year-old man from Albion Township, had taken the stolen property to a residence in the 200 block of W. Center Street in Albion where he had traded the property for crack cocaine.

Deputies obtained and executed a search warrant for that residence. They located and recovered all of the items originally stolen from the house on Albion Road.

Deputies also located illegal substances and drug paraphernalia used in the manufacturing and delivering of crack cocaine.

No arrests have been made at this time; however, deputies will be seeking an arrest warrant for the 38-year-old man for larceny and credit card fraud.

Deputies will also be seeking an arrest warrant for the homeowner of the residence on W. Center Street for receiving and concealing stolen property, as well as manufacturing and delivering cocaine.
