Man stabbed in chest; suspect not found

PORTAGE, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities in Kalamazoo County are investigating an incident in which a man was stabbed in his chest.

The search for the suspect continues.

Sheriff's deputies and Portage Department of Public Safety officers responded at 2:34 a.m. Friday to the 9400 block of S. Sprinkle Road.

That is where they found the 23-year-old victim suffering from the stab wounds. He was taken to Bronson Methodist Hospital where he is in stable condition.
