SPRINGFIELD, Mich. (WOOD) - An employee at a Springfield machine shop was electrocuted Tuesday.

Aaron Lankford was working on a piece of machinery at PulverDryer when the incident happened. When rescuers arrived, he was in full cardiac arrest. They performed CPR, but he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday.

The Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration told 24 Hour News 8 it could be several weeks before any answers are known about what led to Lankford's death.

PulverDryer pulverizes anything put into it -- from trash to city sewage to meat scraps. It then produces high quality ready to use diesel fuel.
