Snowy road causes car to hit tree

Driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries

PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Snowy roads caused a Battle Creek man to lose control of his vehicle and strike a tree.

Just before 6 p.m. on Sunday, deputies were called to McAllister Road near Pennfield Road in Pennfield Township, according to the Calhoun County Sheriff's Department.

Daniel Arredondo, 18, of Battle Creek, had been traveling southbound on McAllister Road when he lost control on the snowy road. His vehicle left the road and struck a tree.

Arredondo was taken to Bronson Hospital in Battle Creek.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
