KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - About 2,400 gallons of untreated raw sewage overflowed from a manhole in Kalamazoo Saturday afternoon.
Kalamazoo Department of Public Services personnel were notified at 1 p.m. of the situation at the Crystal Lane sanitary sewer at 640 Weaver Ave.
Crews removed the blockage at 4:57 p.m., according to a news release.
No other details are available.
The Michigan Department of Environmental Quality at the Kalamazoo District Office and the Kalamazoo County Environmental Health and Community Services were notified of the spill.
