Refrigerated truck, 2 others collide

At Columbia Ave and M-66 in Emmett Twp.

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A refrigerated truck driver was given several citations after causing a multi-vehicle crash on Columbia Ave at M-66 near Battle Creek.

The accident happened around 11:15 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities told 24 Hour News 8 the truck was making deliveries and exiting northbound M-66.

The truck went through the red light, struck one vehicle going eastbound, and the truck bounded off that crash and hit another eastbound vehicle on Colombia Avenue.

Authorities said some of the drivers and passengers involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
