Purse thief sought in Oshtemo Township

OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The Kalamazoo County sheriff's investigators continue to search for the man accused of stealing a woman's purse at a business.

The theft occurred at 7:50 p.m. Saturday at the Walmart store, 501 N. Ninth St. in Oshtemo Township, according to a news release.

The suspect -- a black man in his 20s wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt and black jeans -- stole the purse inside the store, and then ran outside and escaped in a small, gold, four-door sedan, police said.
