Surveillance camera spots purse thieves

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Two people are accused of stealing a customer's purse at the Meijer store in Comstock Township.

The business' surveillance camera spotted the male and female suspects as they were leaving the store, and their getaway vehicle -- a red pickup truck.

The crime occurred around 7:40 p.m. Jan. 2 at the store at 5800 Gull Road.

The suspects and their vehicle have been identified, according to a police news release on Jan. 8. The case has been forwarded to the Kalamazoo County Prosecutor's Office for a review of charges.
