COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Three people were injured after their vehicles collided head-on.

It was around 9 p.m. Sunday when rescue personnel were called to the crash on Gull Road near Doyle Drive in Comstock Township.

A pickup truck was traveling west when it crossed the center line and hit a van, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department.

Robert Draves of Galesburg was driving the truck. The 17-year-old suffered serious injuries, and as of Monday night he was in critical condition at Borgess Hospital. His passenger -- 18-year-old Brooke Christianson of Mattawan -- suffered critical injuries and also is listed in critical condition.

Linh Nguyen, 30, was driving the van. The Kalamazoo man suffered serious injuries and is in stable at the hospital.

Draves and Christianson weren't wearing seat belts and the truck didn't have airbags, according to police. The van's airbags went off on impact.

The exact cause of the crash is unknown as the investigation continues.
