PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 20-year-old man is in jail after confessing to numerous home invasions in a Calhoun County community.
Sheriff's deputies responded at 8:20 p.m. Monday to one of the crimes in progress in the 20000 block of McAllister Road in Pennfield Township. Deputies were told the suspect was leaving the scene in a green pickup truck.
Police located the vehicle and apprehended the suspect.
Deputies located numerous stolen items in his possession, and others stolen from houses and outbuildings in the 8000 block of Bellevue Road and 300 block of Cooper Road.
The suspect from Pennfield Township confessed to the burglaries.
He will be charged with home invasion, and breaking and entering of unoccupied buildings.
