OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Multiple people were shot at a Concord Place Apartment in Oshtemo Township.

Police said two suspects entered an apartment around 4 p.m. April 11 and opened fire.

Three of the four people in the apartment were shot. One person jumped out of a window to safety.

The victims' injuries were non-life-threatening. They were taken to a hospital for treatment and are expected to survive.

Kalamazoo County Undersheriff Paul Matyas said the shooting appears to have been specific to the people who live in the apartment.

He said there is no indication that it was random, that the victims were likely targets, and the shooting appears to have been isolated.

One of the women in the apartment when the shooting happened said afterward that she was scared, but that she doesn't know why that apartment may have been targeted.

One of the victims, Erdris Nichols, told 24 Hour News 8 in a phone interview from his hospital bed that he doesn't know the shooters.

Nichols, 18, was shot twice.

"I was afraid for my life, but I was more afraid for my girl's life," said Nichols.

He said he feels lucky to be alive.

Police are still looking for the suspects. They gathered evidence at the apartment and interviewed victims at the hospital.
