OSHTEMO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 21-year-old man was stabbed several times as he tried to take out his garbage, according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Department.
The search for the two male suspects continues, and police do not have detailed descriptions of them yet.
It was at 3:25 a.m. Thursday when the incident occurred in the 1000 block of Richmond Court in Oshtemo Township.
The suspects approached him and began assaulting him during a robbery attempt, police said in a news release.
One or both of the suspects used an unknown weapon and stabbed the victim several times in the abdomen area, police said.
The suspects then fled the area.
Family members took the victim to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo where he is listed in good condition.
