ALBION, Mich. (WOOD) - A man currently in the Wayne County Jail is a suspect in a double homicide that occurred in Albion in 2009.

Thomas Lee-Everette Paris, 42, from Highland Park is currently being held on multiple charges out of Detroit related to a shooting he was involved in there last year, police said.

The Albion Department of Public Safety obtained two warrants for Paris in late December 2012 for the double homicide of Ryan Erwin and Henry Williams, both from Battle Creek, which occurred at Holland Park, 100 N. Albion St. in Albion on July 26, 2009.

Paris has been a suspect in the double homicide since the day it occurred, according to a news release.

As the investigation continued, Albion police were able to obtain enough evidence to have the Calhoun County Prosecutor's Office issue the warrants.

Albion police did not want to release any information about the investigation until Paris was in custody, due to the nature of the investigation and the threat Paris posed.

It is unknown at this time when Paris will be brought back to Calhoun County to face the homicide charges.

If you have more information about this investigation then call Albion Det. Luis Tejada at 517.629.7824.
