Kzoo jail inmate walks away

Ross Culver is 29, 5-9, 180 pounds

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kalamazoo County Jail inmate walked away from his work assignment Monday afternoon and authorities are actively searching for him.

Ross Emerson Culver, 29, was on an inmate work assignment when he left the jail area on foot around 12:15 p.m. He is not considered a threat to the public.

Emerson is 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighs 180 pounds, and has red hair and hazel eyes. He was in jail for a home invasion and uttering-and-publishing case. He now faces more charges for escaping.
