KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety investigators say a heating and cooling unit sparked a fire inside a restaurant early Thursday morning.
The fire started around 3 a.m. at South China Restaurant, 811 Riverview Dr.
No one was hurt in the blaze, which was extinguished quickly and didn't spread to neighboring businesses.
A KDPS lieutenant told 24 Hour News 8 the fire isn't considered suspicious at this time.
The lieutenant said the restaurant's owners are currently in China.
