KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety responded about 5:30 a.m. Friday to a fire inside a home in the 900 block of Walbridge Street.
The first officers to arrive at the scene saw flames coming from the home.
"Firefighters were unable to enter the building to extinguish the fire because the building was already deemed unsafe," according to a news release.
Eventually they doused the flames and ruled the incident as arson.
