KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - Authorities continue to search for one of three suspects accused in connection with an incident that involved gunshots, a chase and a crash.
The Kalamazoo Township Police Department at 8:37 p.m. Monday received a report of gunshots fired near the intersection of Elkerton Avenue and Junction Avenue.
The 911 caller also reported seeing a white-colored vehicle leaving the area eastbound on Gull Road.
Responding officers located a vehicle, matching that description, with three occupants. Officers tried to stop the vehicle but its driver fled eastbound on Gull Road at a high rate of speed, according to a news release.
The suspect vehicle then collided with a southbound vehicle on Sprinkle Road, police said.
Officers quickly apprehended two people from the suspect vehicle, but the driver couldn't be located and remains at-large.
The driver of the second vehicle was transported to a hospital after suffering minor injuries from the collision.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call police at 269.343.0568 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
