PENNFIELD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - The investigation into a loud party complaint turned up a hidden weapon possibly used in an earlier shooting incident.
It was around 2:35 a.m. Saturday when Calhoun County sheriff's deputies responded to the party in the 500 block of Limewood Drive in Pennfield Township.
Deputies arrived and saw a group of young adults, and talked to the homeowner, identified as a 22-year-old woman, about the complaint.
Deputies then witnessed illegal activities occurring within the residence, according to a news release. Deputies went into the residence and further located two semi-automatic handguns that were hidden.
Both firearms were seized as evidence and the homeowner was arrested for resisting police.
Deputies later learned one of the weapons may have possibly been used in an earlier shooting in Battle Creek.
At this time, this incident remains under investigation by the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office.
