KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kalamazoo man on Monday pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in the death of his 13-day-old son.
Earlier this month Glenn Ross Sr. was found competent to stand trial on charges of open murder. He will be sentenced Aug. 13.
Glenn Ross Jr., was injured Feb. 21 at a home in the 800 block of Burrell Avenue in Kalamazoo. The boy died the next day at a hospital.
Ross Sr. later admitted to police that he shook the baby, according to Ross' father.
Ross Sr., his family said, suffers from bipolar disorder and ADHD -- and couldn't cope with caring for the baby alone.
