KALAMAZOO, Mich. (WOOD) - The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety is investigating a burglary at a Shell gas station.
Officers were dispatched at 2:18 a.m. Saturday to the business at 107 E. Cork St.
When they arrived they saw the front window broken out, according to a news release.
It appears the suspect cut his hand on the window, as there was a large amount of blood inside the store.
The suspect stole several cartons of cigarettes valued at more than $500 before fleeing the scene.
A police K-9 unit could not track down the suspect who apparently drove away in a vehicle parked nearby or driven by someone else.
