FireKeepers hotel to open 12.12.12

EMMETT TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - We now know when the FireKeepers Casino Hotel will open, and a country musical act will help with the celebration.

The casino opened in August 2009 off Interstate 94 at Exit 104, east of Battle Creek.

Now the Nottawaseppi Huron Band of the Potawatomi has announced the eight-story, resort-style hotel addition will open Dec. 12.

Rascal Flatts will perform during the hotel's grand opening debut show at the hotel concert venue on Dec. 29.

Tickets go on sale Nov. 17 at 10 a.m. for guests 18 years of age and older. Tickets for this reserved seating event will be available for $85 and $70. Purchases can also be made online at FireKeepersCasinoHotel.com or Startickets.com. To avoid service charges, purchases can be made at the Red Hot Rewards Club booth, located in the casino main lobby.
