KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A Kalamazoo Township business sustained minimal damage after a fire sparked there early Thursday morning.

Firefighters were dispatched at 3 a.m. to the Liquor Max party store, 4103 Douglas Ave., after a passerby spotted flames and called 911.

The fire was quickly extinguished, according to a news release.

"There was a person of interest observed around the building prior to the fire," police said.

As the investigation continues police would like other possible witnesses to call them at 269.343.0568 or Silent Observer at 269.343.2100.
