CONVIS TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - One of three people died in a two-vehicle, head-on accident.
Calhoun County sheriff's deputies and rescue personnel were dispatched at 8:05 a.m. Wednesday to the scene near 14 Mile Road and J Drive North in Convis Township.
Two of the occupants were trapped and needed to be extricated.
Aaron Heald, 21, of Convis Township was the driver of the southbound vehicle. He received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo.
Rose Heald, 50, of Convis Township was the passenger in the southbound vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Tyler Peters, 26, of Marshall was the driver of the northbound vehicle. He received non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital.
The accident remains under investigation by the county sheriff's Accident Investigation Team.
