PAVILION TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) - A 45-year-old man is listed in critical condition at a Kalamazoo hospital after being ejected from his vehicle, which rolled into a swampy area Friday night.
Christopher Reen drove off the road at the intersection of East P Avenue and S. 32nd Street in Pavilion Township around 9:40 p.m., according to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office.
The car went through a residence’s yard and then rolled down a steep embankment.
The property owners of the yard found Reen, from Kalamazoo, unconscious and outside the vehicle. They tended to Reen's injuries until emergency response teams arrived.
Reen was transported to Bronson Methodist Hospital.
Authorities believe alcohol was a factor in the crash.
